Associated Student Government Election Rules


Requirements for All ASG Members

  • Must be enrolled in at least 5 units of credit coursework at SBCC.

  • Must be in Academic Good Standing and Progress Good Standing.

  • Must have a cumulative SBCC GPA of 2.5. (If 1 or more SBCC academic terms have been completed)

  • Officers MUST maintain these standards after assuming their positions

  • Must be available EVERY Friday from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. for weekly ASG meeting

Potential ASG positions for the next academic year include:

  • President

  • Vice President of Internal Affairs

  • Vice President of External Affairs

  • Vice President of Operations and Finance

  •  Student Advocate 

  • Student Trustee 

  • Commissioner of Academics 

  • Commissioner of Accessibility

  •  Commissioner of Clubs

  •  Commissioner of Events

  •  Commissioner of Fundraising

  •  Commissioner of International Student Affairs

  •  Commissioner of Marketing

  •  Commissioner of Sustainability Isla Vista Representative
